Throughout the year Parrock Street Dental and Implant Centre holds a number of informative seminars and study courses in Implantology for fellow dental professionals who refer or want to know more about dental implants. Our hands on course for impression taking over implants is always well attended as it gives practitioners a feel for dental implant prosthodontics and often starts off their own provision of implants to their patients. All courses are CPD accredited and ample refreshment is provided.

Implant treatment forms an important part of modern treatment planning in general dental practice. This course introduces the practitioner to this interesting field of work. Impression techniques for restoring single unit implants with demonstrations and hands on training in impression techniques. The implant system demonstrated is the Ankylos system. The course is supported by Dentsply Friadent.

To involve our referring dentists in the treatment process and remuneration, we run implant seminars several times a year.

Topics demonstrated include:

How to take implant level impressions
How to fit the final abutment and crown
How to stabilise dentures with implants
How to detect implant failure and the possible causes

All seminars attended will count towards your CPD.

You can refer patients by telephone, email and post. Referral-letter packs are available from the practice, alternatively you can download here. All treatment charges will be thoroughly discussed with the patient and a written estimate given so that there is no chance of any misunderstanding.
