| Throughout the year Parrock Street Dental and Implant Centre holds a number of informative seminars and study courses in Implantology for fellow dental professionals who refer or want to know more about dental implants. Our hands on course for impression taking over implants is always well attended as it gives practitioners a feel for dental implant prosthodontics and often starts off their own provision of implants to their patients. All courses are CPD accredited and ample refreshment is provided. |

John had broken a front crown which had a split root. The tooth required removal and in the same visit an implant and temporary crown were placed to restore his appearance. 3 months later the implant had fully healed and the final implant was fitted.

Amanda is a very nervous patient who had not attended for a while. she had 3 very broken teeth which she had been told would need removal. With modern cerec 1 visit crown computer aided design technology we were able save these teeth and restore them with root treatment and crowns in one appointment whilst she watched a movie.
Gordon broke his tooth through the centre during eating causing a lot of pain. The tooth required removal and we planned an implant placement at the same time. He is very happy with the result and more importantly being able to chew and enjoy his food again as normal.

The Cerec machine uses CAD-Cam technology (just like how they make cars) to manufacture these crowns and veneers the SAME DAY in just one simple appointment. No impression is required as only a picture is needed and no unsightly temporaries or the inconvenience of being numb and attending for a second appointment.
During the appointment you may relax and watch a film/play/comedy/documentary of your choice from our broad selection with our in chair dvd entertainment system.

Sometimes patients have the mistaken notion that if they have broken their denture they have to see a dentist to get a new one, however that is not always the case. On many occasions a denture can be repaired or added to without needing any impressions by the dentist.
Colin has been a dental technician for over 30 years and thoroughly enjoys his job. He works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and is available to help repair and add to any broken dentures or replace any missing teeth onto a denture.
You do not have to be registered at our practice in order to use the services of our dental laboratory. You can bring your broken denture to us and after Colin has made an assessment of the denture we can advise you of the proposed course of action needed in order to fix your denture.
Just like an optician we recommend two pairs of glasses, We recommend that our denture wearing patients always have a spare set of dentures made, in the unlikely event that their permanent dentures are misplaced, dropped, broken etc….. they will then not have to go without any teeth as the process of making a great fitting and looking new denture can take a few appointments over the course of a few weeks.
As a fixed alternative to dentures patients may want to consider implant supported dentures or bridges
